Middleton police on Monday launched dramatic dashcam video of an alleged drunken driver crashing head-on right into a Middleton squad automotive final week.
Sergio Vazquez Ramirez, 26, of Middleton, who stays hospitalized, was tentatively charged with second-offense drunken driving inflicting damage for the crash and was cited for working left of middle and driving after his license had been revoked, in keeping with the Dane County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Since a Middleton officer was concerned within the Feb. 18 crash, the Sheriff’s Workplace is investigating the incident.
Ramirez, who was alone in his sedan, and two police division staff who had been within the squad automotive had been taken to a hospital after Ramirez crashed his sedan into the squad automotive shortly earlier than midday Tuesday on the intersection of Century Avenue and Excessive Street in Middleton, police stated.
Middleton police stated the injured staff had been a patrol officer with about 11 years of service and a dispatcher with about eight years of service. Each staff had been handled for minor accidents and launched.
Middleton police stated it was the fifth Middleton squad automotive prior to now two years to be hit by individuals who had been arrested for impaired driving.
