EGAN, Texas — A Johnson County man and his stepdaughter are fortunate to be alive after a possible twister flipped an RV trailer a number of instances in his yard.

WFAA seen shredded vegetation, downed energy strains, strewn particles, and downed bushes alongside Farm Street 917 close to Egan and Joshua Monday evening. 

Zeleny lives off of FM 917. He was on a stretcher when he first spoke with WFAA after the NWS mentioned it detected particles from a twister. 

“I am alright, man,” he informed a reporter earlier than being taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Value.

Zeleny’s story is one he’ll be telling for a while. 

His 17-year-old stepdaughter, Brittaney Deaton, was contained in the household’s RV trailer within the yard when the storm began selecting up pace. 

“I used to be going to remain within the trailer for the evening; it is just about my residence,” Deaton mentioned. “I used to be sleeping, and I awoke scared as a result of it began rocking actually dangerous.”

The Zelenys’ home was left standing, which was excellent news.
