Eco-laundry hopes to scrub up how we wash garments

A start-up from Oxford is hoping to make laundry extra environmentally pleasant by amassing garments and washing them in its extra eco-friendly laundrette.

OxWash makes use of chilly water in its machines to scale back power consumption and makes use of a specialised detergent that produces ozone to sterilise garments.

BBC Click on’s Chris Fox visited one of many firm’s centres in Battersea, London and requested founder Kyle Grant why individuals would wish to ship their garments away to be washed.
