JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – “It’s really a fish of a lifetime.”
That’s how Eugene Cronley of Brandon, Mississippi described the monster 131-pound blue catfish he captured from the Mississippi River close to Natchez on April 7.
In response to the Mississippi Division of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Fisheries Bureau, the catfish shattered the earlier rod and reel report of 95 kilos and is bigger than the trophy report of 101 kilos.
Each of these fish had been additionally snagged from the Mississippi River close to Natchez.
Cronely caught the record-breaking fish with a rod and reel utilizing skipjack herring as bait.
